Happy 44th Singapore!
happy birtyday singapore~! like every other national days, either i stay home or i go out to see the fireworks. i've decided to have steamboat and went to buy meat in the morning at the market for some shabushabu/bulgogi/samgyupsal-halal ver. met jeyd, adik and tasha at northpoint and walked ard a lil. AND WOW. northpoint is da bomb. pastamania, manhattan fish, seoul gardem and whatnots. damn. so cooool la. we be da nxt cwp yo. im still waiting for john little. so the parade. first, you must understand that my parents are racists. LOL. no, im lying. its just that they love to see malays on tv. so the parade commander and idk who else were made up of all 3 races and my mother would kick a fuss and claimed that the chinese/indian people had more air-time than the malay dood. zzz. motherrrrr~~ so the whole umm. dancing2 event, what do you call it? mass formations? it was pretty neat. tho the same ol story line. history - to the present metropolis country we're in. at 8.22, i was almost rushing in my prayers and made it in time to recite the pledge. now, don't y'all agree with me that singapore's the most prettiest when we're standing as one singing our anthem or reciting our pledge? and on top of that, i felt like being part of the red sea. the cassiopeia in me just wanted to be there. hahah. *fanghurl momentzz* the fireworks were fab. nothing more, nothing less. i miss the loud explosions and the "oohs" & "aahhs" of the citizens. do y'all read the newspaper? i came across one short paragraph in a recent article. its saying on how whatever Singaporeans wants, they gets it. but what about what Singapore wants? dyou get the difference? so apparently i came across this parag which said, "highly educated women are not contributing to the poppulation." trufax? sigh. are they too busy educating themselves? i guess poppulation should be one the biggest worry for singapore. i don't want my country to be dominated by the ageing. not that its a bad thing. i worry for the future. putting that aside, happy 44th! wishing you the cliched wish ever, MAY ALL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE BBBY! Labels: National Day it takes two.
hmmmmmm. where was i.the weekends? ah yes. National Day! happy birthday singapore! i wonder how it feels like. i mean. no. okay nevermind. i missed this years fireworks. i dont usually miss'em. but. decided to stay home and watch the parade live on tv instead of heading to the normal merlion spot, ALONE to take pictures of the fireworks. hah. NDP was mmm. okay. nothing new. nothing interesting. nothing appealing. ahaha. except the plus sized ladies who sang. there were like, 4? and the lady singer who sang with Hady was the only size 6 there. hahahaa. big girl, you are beautiful. i spent my NDP at 784. we all ate satay, mi soto and 9285802 calories. yummy. fat. yummy. haha. once again, Happy 43rd Singapore! All the best and... STOP INCREASING PRICES OF STUFFS! tsk. tsk. im sooo gonna attend NDP next year. even if the balloting fails, there's always eBay. went studying earlier today. mm. read some magazines and got myself this icy tee at bossini. yay! i wanna get the "Im Hot" "Hotdog" tee as well. spectated U-19 vs SWFC match at Serangoon Stadium with jeyd just now, in the evening. final score was, 2-6, repectively. coool. it was a verrry intriguing! me and jeyd were like, giving live commentary through out. i wasn't rooting for either teams but of course i'd be glad if my sister's team were to win. i was expecting the u-19 to like, win the match because.. they aren;t called the national team for nothing, right. but. everyone has time to improve. :) so nice to see everyone who i rmbred.. like... nina! haha. levis... hid... that girl from amkss. most of them i saw were from 'my batch'. ahahha. whatever it was... nice match! :D pau-ed home. i wanna get a job at a bookstore. help. Labels: National Day, soccer ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() hello there! this post was meant for yesterday, national day. so the plan to meet up with the old friends were still. faris was out with his schoolmates, i assume. matin would meet straight from his aunts place. so i met with faiz&gf&smallboy and off to catch the fireworks. well, we made a huge mistake by arrving late. should have been there by 5pm! the crowd was kjgndlsjd! worst than a mosh pit. -__- still, we made our way through. and the worst thing was, i lost faiz&gf in the crowd. how freakin sad is that? so i thought that i could catch up with them but i was wrong. so i just walked with the crowd. weird thing was that i didn't feel lost. maybe because of the singaporeans around me. so i just walked and walked, walkd through the tunnel and then climbed a hill, and jumped over a railing, jay-walked and suddenly, fireworks popped out, like daisies! luckily, i had a clear view of the colourful dark sky. (think: how to be colourful in the dark?) except for a few miserable/inconsiderate branches blocking my view. sadly, i only got a few good shots of the fireflow. i was at the fullerton btw. i have no idea where i was. i didnt feel sad being alone, which was weird cause i had singaporeans and tourists by my side. kinda felt good about it. made my way to funan and went home. decided not to meet izyan and others. twas really packed and warm and yeah. that was my 1st national day alone, and 2nd time watching firewrks alone. :D anyone wants to challenge me? bet i was the only girl who was alone yesterday. even those stupid china and bangladeshi nationals came in groups! and it wasnt a pri sch gathering because i lost matin and faris. -_- Labels: alone, fireworks, National Day |
