under the knife
i spent half the day at Singapore General Hospital together with my family except brother who is currently spending his day guarding the nation against the terrible fires. -_-''

the last time i went to Outram Park MRT and to SGH was that time when i went to visit arwah ciksu. good times. :D also that time when aaron sent me all the way to outram park when he was suppose to meet his parents at dhoby gaut. omgggg. i miss aaron my sister! :)

we were there for Aqilah's checkup for her spinal cord. so waited for aqilah's xray which took like what, 20 mins? TSK. its so sad to be surrounded by sick, sad people at the clinics. so once we're done with the xray, proceeded to meet the othopaedic. (i forgot what is it exactly. the doctor who is incharge of bone disfunctionals something something)

the xray's shown that oj's spinal cord is even more curved as compared to her 1st checkup. its getting worse. the doctor was like, "since wearing the brace is something very troublesome (that kinda thing), i suggest she goes for an op asap."

upon hearing that coming out from the gentle othopaedic, my mom broke into tears. gosh. i swallowed my saliva back in. all of us were totally taken aback. we had to agree to implant titanium screws in my sister's back.

aqilah was like, spaced. she didn't know what was going on. the rough cost of the surgery would be about 8-10K? gosh. and its in the 2nd week of september. i guess with the upcoming job salary i'd settle all debts and the rest for the AQILAH'S-SURGERY FUND.

i was telling her like, "aqilah. you know what the doctor say? he said, he's going to put this screws(pointing to screws on the chair) at your.. you know where?" and she was like, shouting, "i know lah! my back lah!" oh well...

i am still so speechless. i mean. she's 13. down syndrome. has thyroxine glands, curved spine and have to go under the knife. that's alot to handle.

september, a month full of sacrifices.
